I love Ira Glass, the host of This American Life, from Public Radio International. In this series of YouTube videos he discusses storytelling as well as his early attempts at storytelling and how he had to keep working on his craft to learn how to do to well.
I was, and am, inspired by his encouragement to “practice” one’s art or craft rather than giving up in discouragement because I didn’t get it
perfect right the first time, or second time, or even the eighth attempt. I always need to remember this because I can get discouraged fast.
